The Black Venus

A slender, primitive figure, La Vénus noire stands out for the softness of its curves and the quiet strength that emanates from it.
Its almost abstract body, polished to light, seems both timeless and deeply rooted in the heritage of early sculpture.
It carries echoes of archaic Venus, but revisited with a subtle modernity – a refined, sovereign femininity, standing proudly in its verticality.

The dark bronze reveals a play of shadows and reflections that emphasize the roundness of the hips, the line of the torso, the assertive presence of a fully assumed body.
In this deep black, we perceive a warmth, a density, a particular vibration: that of a woman who doesn’t need to say more to exist.
The Black Venus evokes a calm sensuality, an intimate power that never seeks to dominate – but imposes itself by its simple presence.

A primitive figure, reinvented

This sculpture draws on the forms of primitive art: simple lines, full volumes, absence of superfluous details.
The gesture goes straight to the essential.
Every curve is thought out, every movement of the metal tells a feminine story: strength, gentleness, anchoring, freedom.

Produced by Fonderie Fusions in deep bronze shades, the piece has an almost living character.
Light glides over the surface like skin, sometimes revealing a subtle sheen, sometimes a dark velvet.
This materiality gives the sculpture a carnal, almost tactile presence.

The Black Venus does not seek to represent women: she embodies their essential energy.

The power of the quiet feminine

What’s striking about La Vénus noire is the way it is strong without flashiness, beautiful without artifice, imposing without violence.
It evokes the serenity of a woman who knows herself, who holds her own, who has nothing left to prove.

In her posture, there is at once the memory of the women of yesterday and the presence of the women of today: a feminine that is free, stable and in harmony with itself.
The sculpture invites us to slow contemplation, to recognize that quiet power that runs through so many women and that art reveals with modesty.

Black Venus is a celebration of the body, the living, the female lineage – an ode to the silent force that shapes the world.
